Syd’s Place was established in the early 1930’s in Erie, PA and is full of local charm. Syd’s Place is the oldest privately-owned restaurant in Erie, and has stuck true to its roots with delicious cuisine, fresh seafood, and a friendly, hometown atmosphere that will make the furthest of travelers feel like part of the family.
Even when ownership switched hands to fellow Erie natives and close friends of the “original Syd” in 2014, this did not change the atmosphere of the restaurant at all, or stop regular customers from continuing to come in to enjoy their favorite menu items.
Whether you’re an Erie native or in town for a visit, Syd’s offers an experience that is unmatched and rich with Erie history. Serving up local delicacies such as Lake Erie Perch, and prime rib– a favorite among the locals, together with our sister restaurant, Avanti’s (serving breakfast and lunch daily), Syd’s has something for everyone.
